Westcort Cream is a medium-potency corticosteroid indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses in adult patients.

It contains hydrocortisone valerate, a synthetic corticosteroid for topical dermatologic use. The corticosteroids constitute a class of primarily synthetic steroids used topically as anti-inflammatory and antipruritic agents.

Hydrocortisone valerate reduces the swelling, itching, and redness that can occur in various skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, allergies, and rash.

Do’s

  • Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly before applying the cream.

  • Avoid bandaging the treated area unless specifically instructed by your healthcare provider. Bandaging can trap moisture and worsen irritation.
