Tykerb (generic name: lapatinib) is indicated for the treatment of a certain type of hormone-related breast cancer that has progressed or spread after treatment with other medications. Specifically, Tykerb is used in combination with other drugs for the treatment of postmenopausal females with metastatic, HER2-positive, hormone-receptor-positive (HR+) breast cancer, if hormonal therapy is indicated.

Do’s

  • Before starting Tykerb and each time you refill your prescription, read the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist. If you have any questions, ask your healthcare provider.
