Do’s

Before starting or refilling your prescription of Pancrease MT 10, read the Medication Guide provided by your pharmacist. If you have any questions or concerns, consult your healthcare provider for further clarification.

Take Pancrease MT 10 by mouth with meals and snacks as directed by your healthcare provider. Swallow the capsule whole.

Drink plenty of fluids while taking Pancrease MT 10, unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider. This helps ensure proper digestion and absorption of the medication. 

If you have difficulty swallowing the capsule, you may open it and mix the contents in a small amount of liquid or soft food that does not require chewing, such as room-temperature applesauce. 

After swallowing the food or liquid mixture, drink a glass of water or juice to ensure all the medication is swallowed. 

The dosage of Pancrease MT 10 is determined by your medical condition, diet, weight, and response to treatment. Follow the prescribed dosage provided by your healthcare provider.

Take Pancrease MT 10 regularly with every meal or snack to get the most benefit from the medication. If your healthcare provider has recommended a special diet, follow the diet plan to maximize the effects of Pancrease MT 10.

Inform your healthcare provider if your condition persists or worsens while taking Pancrease MT 10.

Don’ts

Do not crush or chew the capsule, as doing so can irritate the mouth and alter the medication's effectiveness.

Do not mix the capsule’s contents with alkaline food or liquid (such as milk, ice cream, or tea). Consult your healthcare provider for specific information about which foods or liquids to avoid when mixing.

Do not save the medication mixture for later use.

Do not exceed the recommended number of capsules in a day. Taking more capsules than prescribed will not improve your condition faster but may increase the risk of side effects.

Do not change brands or dosage forms of pancrelipase without consulting your healthcare provider. Different products may contain varying amounts of digestive enzymes, which can affect the effectiveness of the treatment.

Common Side Effects:

Bronchitis

Cough

Nasopharyngitis

Oropharyngeal pain

Respiratory tract infection 

This is not an exhaustive list of side effects. If you are experiencing any unusual or severe side effects while taking Pancrease MT 10, seek medical attention.

Inform your healthcare provider about your medical history, especially if you have a history of sudden/severe swelling of the pancreas (acute pancreatitis), sudden worsening of long-term disease of the pancreas, gout, kidney disease, high uric acid level in the blood (hyperuricemia), or intestinal problems such as blockage.

In rare cases, a patient with a known history of allergy to another pancrelipase product developed a mild allergic reaction, including a red, blotchy facial rash, and itching. If you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, discontinue the medication and seek medical attention.

Pancrease MT 10 may interact with other medications you are taking. Inform your healthcare provider about all the medications you are currently using to avoid any potential interactions.

The use of Pancrease MT 10 during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or in children should be discussed with a healthcare provider.
