Do’s

• The dosage of Lopressor SR is determined by your healthcare provider and is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
• Your healthcare provider may direct you to start with a low dose and gradually increase it to reduce the risk of side effects. Follow their instructions carefully.
• Lopressor SR is usually taken once daily, as directed by your healthcare provider. Take it at the same time each day to help you remember and maintain consistent drug levels in your body.
• Lopressor SR tablets should be swallowed whole. If the tablets have a score line, they can be split, but only if your healthcare provider instructs you to do so.
• If you have any concerns or your condition does not improve, discuss it with your healthcare provider. 

Don’ts

• Do not crush or chew the tablets, as doing so can release all of the drug at once, increasing the risk of side effects
• Do not suddenly stop taking Lopressor SR  without consulting your healthcare provider, as your condition may worsen.

• Fatigue or tiredness
• Dizziness
• Gastrointestinal issues, such as nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
• Low blood pressure
• Slow heart rate
• Cold hands and feet

Lopressor SR should not be used if you have certain heart conditions, such as heart block, sick sinus syndrome, slow heart rate, severe circulation problems, or severe heart failure. If you have a history of slow heartbeats that cause fainting, Lopressor SR should also be avoided.

Lopressor SR may increase the risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and prevent the warning signs and symptoms that would normally indicate low blood sugar. If you are taking Lopressor SR and experience difficulty eating or drinking normally, or if you are vomiting, inform your healthcare provider.

Lopressor SR may interact with other medications. Inform your healthcare provider about all the medications you are taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and herbal supplements, to avoid potential interactions.
