Levitra (Vardenafil)

Do's

• Take Levitra exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider, typically about 1 hour before sexual activity. 
• Inform your healthcare provider about all medications you use, including prescription, non-prescription, and herbal products. 
• If you experience no improvement in your condition, consult your healthcare provider. 

Don'ts

• Do not take it more than once a day and allow at least 24 hours between doses. 
• Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice while taking Levitra, as they can increase side effects. 

The dosage will depend on your health, response to treatment, and other medications you take. 

Common side effects may include:

• Headache
• Flushing (sudden warmth, redness, or tingly feeling)
• Stuffy or runny nose
• Indigestion
• Upset stomach
• Dizziness
• Back pain

Serious side effects:

• Painful or prolonged erection lasting 4 or more hours (priapism)
• Sudden vision loss or changes in vision
• Sudden hearing loss or ringing in the ears
• Chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, or general ill feeling
• Irregular heartbeat
• Swelling in the hands, ankles, or feet
• Shortness of breath
• Seizures (convulsions)

This is not an exhaustive list, and other side effects may occur. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while taking  Levitra,  contact your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Inform your healthcare provider about any allergies, especially to Levitra or any of its ingredients.

Disclose your medical history, particularly:

• Heart problems (recent heart attack, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, heart failure)
• Stroke (recent)
• Kidney or liver disease
• High or low blood pressure
• Dehydration
• Penis conditions (angulation, fibrosis, Peyronie's disease)
• History of priapism (painful, prolonged erection)
• Conditions increasing priapism risk (sickle cell anemia, leukemia, etc.)
• Eye problems (retinitis pigmentosa, vision loss, NAION)
• Bleeding disorders
• Active stomach ulcers

Levitra may cause these, so avoid activities requiring alertness or clear vision (driving, operating machinery) until you feel safe doing so. Limit alcohol and marijuana which can worsen these effects.

Before surgery, inform your healthcare provider about all medications you take, including Levitra.

Vardenafil is not typically used in women, during pregnancy, or while breastfeeding. Consult your healthcare provider for further information.
