Kenalog Lotion (Triamcinolone Acetonide)

Do’s

• Kenalog Lotion is intended for topical use only and should be applied to the skin.
• Before applying the medication, wash and dry your hands.
• Clean and dry the affected area before applying Kenalog Lotion.
• Apply a thin film of the medication to the affected area. Gently rub the medication into the skin as directed by your healthcare provider, usually 2 to 4 times daily.
• After applying the medication, wash your hands unless you are using it to treat the hands.
• Use Kenalog Lotion only for the condition prescribed by your healthcare provider.
• If your condition lasts or gets worse, inform your healthcare provider.

Don’ts

• Do not use Kenalog Lotion on the face, groin, or underarms unless directed to do so by your healthcare provider.
• Do not cover, bandage, or wrap the treated area after applying Kenalog Lotion, unless directed by your healthcare provider.
• When applying the medication near the eyes, nose, or mouth, be careful to avoid getting it in these areas. If contact occurs, rinse with plenty of water.
• Do not use this medication for longer than prescribed.

• Irritation at the application site
• Skin changes, such as pimples, stretch marks, slow healing, or hair growth
• Change in the color of the skin
• Thinning of the skin
