Galvus Met is a medication used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in adults. It is a combination drug that contains two active ingredients: vildagliptin and metformin.

Vildagliptin belongs to a class of medications called DPP-4 inhibitors, while metformin is classified as a biguanide. The mechanism of action of Galvus Met involves the combined action of both vildagliptin and metformin:

By combining vildagliptin and metformin, Galvus Met helps to control and balance blood sugar levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes.

Galvus Met can be used in conjunction with other anti-diabetic medications, such as sulfonylureas and thiazolidinediones, as prescribed by a healthcare provider.
