Drug Description : Exorex is used to treat psoriasis skin symptoms such as flaking, itching, dryness, redness and scaling. This medication does not cure psoriasis skin symptoms, it only relieves the symptoms temporarily.Store at room temperature. Keep away from moisture and heat. When not in use, keep the medicine tightly closed.Read the directions on the prescription label. Do not take larger doses than prescribed by your doctor. Take this medication as directed on the label or by your pharmacist, doctor, or other healthcare provider. Apply the cream, lotion or gel as directed on the medication label. You may need to apply it 1 to 4 times a day.Do not take use Exorex if you are allergic to coal tar. Also, do not use this medication to treat the skin on your groin or rectal area.Before using Exorex, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or breastfeeding; if you are taking prescription or over the counter medication, herbal preparation, or dietary supplements; if you are receiving ultraviolet radiation treatment for your psoriasis.Patients using Exorex should avoid artificial UV rays and sunlight (tanning, tanning beds, or sunlamps) because this medication can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight resulting in sunburn. If you experience severe burning, irritation, swelling or stinging on the treated skin contact your doctor right away and stop using Exorex. Do not treat large skin areas or use over a long period of time without your doctor's advice. While using Exorex, if you notice your symptoms do not improve or if it has gotten worse, contact your doctor right away.Severe: Severe allergic reactions including itching, tightness in the chest, rash, hives, difficulty breathing, and swelling of the mouth, lips, tongue or face.Common: Mild skin irritation or skin rash.Other: None.
