Estrace is a hormone replacement therapy containing estrogen. It reduces symptoms of menopause caused by decreased estrogen production in the body (hot flashes, vaginal dryness). For treating symptoms in and around the vagina, consider topical products (applied directly inside the vagina) before oral, transdermal (absorbed through the skin), or injected medications.
