Test for Skin Sensitivity

Before starting treatment:

• Apply a small amount of ERFA Hydroquinone Gel to a small area of your skin.
• Avoid applying it to cracked, cut, or sore skin.
• Check your skin after 24 hours.
• If you notice itching, swelling, or blisters, stop using it and consult your doctor.

Application Instructions

If your skin does not react after testing, follow these steps:

• Apply a pea-sized amount of ERFA Hydroquinone Gel to your fingertip.
• Spread a thin, even layer over dark spots, including about ½ inch of surrounding normal skin.
• Gently rub it in until it becomes invisible. If you see residue, you are using too much.
• Avoid applying it to the corners of your nose, mouth, eyes, mucous membranes, or open wounds.
• Do not cover the treated area after application.
• Wash your hands with soap after use to prevent brown spots on your fingernails.

Usual Dose

The typical dose ERFA Hydroquinone Gel is a small amount twice daily—once in the morning and once in the evening. Your doctor may adjust your usage frequency and duration.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, apply this gel as soon as you remember. If it is close to your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Safety Precautions for ERFA Hydroquinone Gel

Before you use this gel, tell your healthcare provider if you:

• Are allergic to hydroquinone, sodium metabisulfite, or any other ingredient in the medication.
• Have asthma.
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Have or have had cancer.
• Are taking medications that increase skin sensitivity to light, such as malaria treatments like resorcinol and phenol.

Warnings and Usage Guidelines

• Do not apply ERFA Hydroquinone Gel to broken skin, mucous membranes, or around the eyes, nose, mouth, or genitals. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
• Do not use on large areas of skin or apply more frequently than your doctor recommends. Overuse may cause irritation or other side effects.
• Do not use for longer than 2-3 months unless instructed by your doctor.

Sun Protection

• Protect your skin from UV light while using ERFA Hydroquinone Gel. Use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 (UVA & UVB) and wear protective clothing, such as a hat.
• Avoid tanning lamps and tanning beds.
• If you get sunburned, stop using ERFA Hydroquinone Gel until your skin heals.
• Continue sun protection even after stopping treatment to prevent skin darkening.

Monitoring Your Skin

• If your dark spots do not lighten after 3 weeks of use, consult your doctor. Your doctor may assess your skin for other conditions.
• Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines, vitamins, and supplements you take before starting treatment.
