Do’s

• Before starting to take Edarbyclor, read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist. Review this information each time you get a refill. If there are any questions, consult with a healthcare provider.
• Take Edarbyclor by mouth with or without food as directed by your healthcare provider, usually once daily. Take the medication at least 4 hours before bedtime to avoid the need to wake up to urinate during the night.
• The dosage of Edarbyclor is based on an individual's medical condition and response to treatment. Take the medication regularly to obtain the most benefit from it.
• Even if you feel well, continue taking the medication as prescribed. It may take several weeks before the full benefit of the drug is realized.
• Certain drugs used to lower cholesterol, such as bile acid-binding resins like cholestyramine and colestipol, should be taken at least 2 hours before or at least 4 hours after taking Edarbyclor.
• If your condition does not improve or worsens, including if blood pressure readings remain high or increase, inform your healthcare provider.

Prior to administration of Edarbyclor, correct any volume depletion, especially in patients with impaired renal function or those treated with high doses of diuretics. This precaution is essential for the safe use of the medication.

Patients who experience dose-limiting adverse reactions on chlorthalidone may be switched to Edarbyclor, initially with a lower dose of chlorthalidone. This adjustment should be made under the guidance of a healthcare provider.

Edarbyclor is moisture-sensitive, and it should be dispensed and stored in its original container to protect it from light and moisture. Repackaging of Edarbyclor should be avoided to maintain its stability and effectiveness.
