Do’s

  • Read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist before you start using Divigel and each time you get a refill. Learn how to apply the gel correctly. If you have any questions, ask your healthcare provider.
  • Apply the medication to clean, dry skin on the upper thigh area as directed by your healthcare provider, typically once daily. Alternate between the right and left thighs with each application.
  • The dosage is determined based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
  • After applying the medication, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water to minimize the risk of unintentionally spreading it to others. Allow the application site to dry completely before dressing, and cover the area with clothing to prevent others from coming into contact with the application site.
  • Wait at least 1 hour before allowing others to touch the skin where the medication was applied. If accidental contact occurs within this timeframe, the area of contact should be washed with soap and water as soon as possible.
  • To optimize the medication's effectiveness, wait at least 1 hour before showering or swimming to allow the drug to be absorbed through the skin.
  • Consistent daily use of the medication at the same time each day is essential to derive the maximum benefit from it
  • Divigel is flammable until dry. Allow the gel to dry before smoking or being near an open flame.
  • If there is no improvement in your condition or if it worsens, inform your healthcare provider.

  • Do not increase the dose or use the medication more frequently than prescribed.
