Dermasone ointment is a topical medication used to treat a variety of skin conditions, including insect bites, poison oak/ivy, eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash, itching of the outer female genitals, and anal itching

The active ingredient in Dermasone ointment, betamethasone valerate contains betamethasone valerate, a synthetic corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties.

It works by inhibiting the formation, activity, and release of different cells and chemicals in the body. This helps to reduce inflammation, itching, and redness associated with various skin conditions
