Derma Smooth/FS Oil Eczema (Fluocinolone acetonide)

Do’s

• Shake well before each use.
• Apply only to the skin. Avoid using it on your face, groin, or underarms unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
• Wash and dry your hands both before and after applying the medication.
• Clean and dry the affected area before applying the medication.
• Apply a thin film of medication and rub it in gently as directed by your healthcare provider, typically 3 times a day.
• Leave the treated area uncovered unless your healthcare provider tells you to do otherwise.
• Rinse thoroughly with water if the medication gets in your eyes, nose, or mouth.

Don'ts

• Don't use Derma-Smoothe/FS Body Oil on broken or infected skin.
• Don't use it for longer than prescribed by your healthcare provider.
• Don't apply bandages or dressings over the treated area unless your healthcare provider instructs you to do so.
• Don't use this medication for any condition other than what it was prescribed for.
• Don't continue using Derma-Smoothe/FS Body Oil if your condition worsens or doesn't improve after 2 weeks. Tell your healthcare provider if you don't see improvement.

Common Side Effects:

• Secondary atopic dermatitis
• Papules and pustules
• Keratosis pilaris
• Eczema
• Rash
• Hypertrichosis (excessive hair growth)
• Maceration of the skin
• Dermatitis
• Perioral dermatitis
• Acne or worsening of acne
• Acne rosacea

Serious Side Effects:

• Hyperglycemia (high blood sugar)
• Glucosuria (glucose in the urine)

This is not an exhaustive list, and other side effects may occur. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while taking Derma smooth fs oil eczema, contact your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Inform your healthcare provider if you have allergies to fluocinolone, other corticosteroids, or any ingredients in Derma-Smoothe FS Oil, especially peanut oil.

Discuss your medical history with your healthcare provider before using Derma-Smoothe FS Oil.

Do not use Derma-Smoothe FS Oil on infected or sore areas. Inform your healthcare provider if redness, swelling, or irritation persists.

Long-term or widespread use of Derma-Smoothe FS Oil may affect your body's response to stress. Tell your healthcare provider about Derma-Smoothe FS Oil use before surgery, emergency treatment, or serious illness.

Long-term use might slow down a child's growth. Regular healthcare provider visits for monitoring are important.

Use only if clearly necessary and discuss risks and benefits with your healthcare provider.

Consult your healthcare provider before breastfeeding as it's unknown if the medication passes into breast milk through skin application.
