Cipro HC Otic is specifically used to treat bacterial ear infections, particularly outer ear infections, also known as swimmer's ear, in both children and adults.
It contains a combination of ciprofloxacin, a quinolone-type antibiotic, and hydrocortisone, an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid. This ear drop works by halting the growth of bacteria and reducing ear swelling and discomfort.
Cipro HC Otic treats only bacterial ear infections and is not effective for other types of ear infections.
