Betaderm ointment is used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, allergies, and rash. 

It contains betamethasone, which reduces the swelling, itching, and redness associated with these conditions. This medication is classified as a medium-strength corticosteroid.

Do’s

  • Wash and dry your hands before and after using the cream (unless treating hands).
  • Clean and dry the affected area before applying.
  • Apply a thin film of medication and gently rub it in as directed by your healthcare provider (typically 1-3 times daily).
  • Rinse with plenty of water if the cream gets in your eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • Inform your healthcare provider if your condition improves but doesn't fully clear after 2 weeks.

Don'ts

  • Don't use bandages, covers, or wrap the treated area unless your healthcare provider tells you to.
