Atacand HCT is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). It is a combination medication that contains two active ingredients: candesartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic (water pill). This combination medication is used to lower blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and promoting the elimination of excess water and electrolytes from the body.
