Analpram HC Cream (Pramoxine/HC)

Do’s

• Wash and dry the anal area thoroughly with mild soap and water before applying the cream.
• If using the applicator for internal application, carefully follow the instructions provided with the product or your healthcare provider's guidance.
• Fill the applicator with the prescribed amount of medication.
• Gently insert the applicator tip only 1/2 to 1 inch (1.5 to 2.5 centimeters) inside the anus.
• If directed by your healthcare provider, apply a small amount of cream to the outside of the anus and rub it in gently.
• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after each use.
• If your Analpram-HC comes with medicated wipes, use them as directed before applying the cream.
• Avoid tight-fitting clothing and practice good hygiene to reduce irritation.
• Use Analpram-HC regularly, typically 3-4 times daily or after each bowel movement, as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
• Follow the treatment course. Don't use more, use it more often, or use it for longer than your healthcare provider recommends.
• If you've been using Analpram-HC for a long time or in high doses, consult your healthcare provider before stopping abruptly. They may recommend gradually tapering off the medication.
• Tell your healthcare provider if your condition doesn't improve or worsens after 1-2 weeks of using Analpram-HC.

Don'ts

• Don't force the applicator tip into the anus.
• Don't insert the applicator tip more than 1/2 to 1 inch inside the anus.
• Don't use your finger or any other object to apply the cream inside the anus unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
• Don't cover the treated area with plastic or waterproof bandages unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
• Don’t make eye, nose, ear, or mouth contact. Avoid getting Analpram-HC cream in your eyes, nose, ears, or mouth. Rinse thoroughly with clean water if contact occurs.
• Don't abruptly stop using Analpram-HC if you've been using it for a long time. Talk to your healthcare provider about tapering the dose.

Common side effects:

• Burning, itching, or stinging sensation at the application site
• Mild skin irritation or redness

Serious side effects (rare, but may require medical attention):

• Allergic reactions, such as rash, itching, or swelling at the application site
• Signs of skin infection, such as heat, tenderness, or pus
• Changes in skin appearance, such as color or thickness

This is not an exhaustive list, and other side effects may occur. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while taking Analpram hc cream, contact your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Inform your healthcare provider if you are allergic to pramoxine, hydrocortisone, or any ingredients in Analpram HC Cream.

Disclose any pre-existing medical conditions to your healthcare provider before using Analpram HC Cream, especially:

• Diabetes
• Eye problems
• Infections (especially rectal sores/infections)
• Liver disease
• Stomach/intestinal problems

Using Analpram HC Cream for a long time can weaken your body's response to physical stress (surgery, illness, injury). Inform your healthcare provider about Analpram HC Cream use before any medical or dental procedures, or if you experience a serious illness/injury.

Long-term use of Analpram HC Cream may slow down a child's growth. Regular healthcare provider visits to monitor height are recommended.

Analpram HC Cream should only be used during pregnancy when clearly necessary and not for long periods or in large amounts. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare provider.

It is unknown if pramoxine or hydrocortisone passes into breast milk. Consult your healthcare provider before breastfeeding.
