Alphagan eye drops (brimonidine tartrate ophthalmic solution) are indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

Alphagan eye drops are used to lower elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It is used to lower the pressure within the eye, which helps reduce the risk of vision loss, nerve damage, or blindness associated with these conditions.

Alphagan contains the active ingredient brimonidine tartrate, which works by reducing the production of fluid in the eye and improving fluid drainage, thereby lowering intraocular pressure.
