Do's

• Follow patient instructions and priming directions for the Dulera inhaler carefully. 
• Consider using a fast-acting inhalation medicine as directed by your healthcare provider for asthma attacks instead of Dulera inhalers. 
• Seek medical attention if your breathing problems worsen quickly or if you feel that your asthma medications are not working effectively. 
• Rinse your mouth with water after each use of the Dulera inhaler. 
• Use Dulera inhalers regularly at the same time each day to get the most benefit from it. 
• Continue using the Dulera inhaler as directed by your healthcare provider, even if you feel well. 
• Follow your healthcare provider's guidance on gradually decreasing the dose if discontinuing the medication. 

Don'ts

• Do not use Dulera as a rescue medicine for asthma attacks as it is not a rescue medicine for asthma attacks. 
• Do not swallow the water used to rinse your mouth after using the Dulera inhaler. 
• Do not allow a young child to use Dulera inhaler without adult supervision. 
• Do not increase your dose or use a Dulera inhaler more often than prescribed by your healthcare provider. Doing so may increase the risk of side effects without improving your condition faster. 
• Do not stop using it without consulting your healthcare provider, as some conditions may worsen when the drug is suddenly stopped. 

Dulera inhalers come with patient instructions for safe and effective use and directions for priming the device. The dosage of a Dulera inhaler is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Your healthcare provider will determine the appropriate dose for you.

• Thrush (fungal infection in the mouth)
• This is not an exhaustive list, and other side effects may occur. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while taking a Dulera inhaler,  contact your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Before taking Dulera inhaler, it is important to be aware of certain warnings and precautions:

1. Not for Rescue Use: Dulera inhaler is not intended for the relief of sudden breathing problems or as a rescue inhaler. It should not be used to treat acute asthma attacks. Patients should have a separate fast-acting inhaler (such as albuterol) for immediate relief of asthma symptoms.
2. Allergic Reactions: Some individuals may experience allergic reactions to Dulera inhalers. Seek immediate medical attention if any signs of an allergic reaction occur, such as rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing.
3. Systemic Effects: Dulera inhaler contains a corticosteroid (mometasone) that may cause systemic effects, such as adrenal suppression or hypercorticism. Patients should follow the prescribed dosage and not stop or reduce Dulera therapy without healthcare provider guidance.
4. Interactions and Precautions: Dulera inhalers may interact with other medications. Inform a healthcare provider about all medications being taken. Dulera inhalers should be used with caution in patients with certain medical conditions, such as liver disease or high blood pressure.
