Robaxisal Extra Strength (Methocarbamol/ASA)

Do’s

• Take Robaxisal Extra Strength by mouth with or without food as directed by your healthcare provider.
• Take Robaxisal Extra Strength with a full glass of water (8 ounces/240 milliliters) unless your healthcare provider directs you otherwise.
• If you have stomach upset while taking Robaxisal Extra Strength, take it with food or milk.
• The dosage of Robaxisal Extra Strength is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Use the smallest effective dose.
• Pain medications, including Robaxisal Extra Strength, work best when used at the first signs of pain. Waiting until the symptoms worsen may result in the medication being less effective.
• If your condition lasts or gets worse, inform your healthcare provider.

Don’ts

• Do not increase your dose or use this drug more often or for longer than prescribed. Your condition will not improve any faster, and your risk of side effects will increase.
• Do not lie down for at least 10 minutes after taking this medication.

If you have a known allergy to acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), methocarbamol, or any other ingredients in Robaxisal Extra Strength, you should avoid taking this medication.

Robaxisal Extra Strength contains acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), which has been associated with a rare but serious condition called Reye's Syndrome. This condition primarily affects children and teenagers recovering from viral infections. Avoid using ASA in these cases unless specifically directed by a healthcare provider.

ASA, one of the active ingredients in Robaxisal Extra Strength, may cause severe stomach bleeding. If you experience symptoms such as fainting, vomiting blood, having bloody or black stools, or persistent stomach pain, seek medical help immediately.

Robaxisal Extra Strength may interact with other medications you are taking. Inform your healthcare provider about all the medications, including over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements, that you are currently using to avoid potential interactions.

If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult with your healthcare provider before taking Robaxisal Extra Strength.
