Bepreve (Bepotastine Besilate)

Do’s

• Follow the healthcare provider's instructions
• Use Bepreve as directed by your healthcare provider, typically twice daily.
• Wash your hands before each use to prevent contamination.
• Take out your contact lenses before using Bepreve and wait at least 10 minutes after each dose before reinserting them.
• Apply correctly: Tilt your head back, pull down your lower eyelid, and place one drop into the pouch formed. Close your eyes gently for 1-2 minutes and apply gentle pressure at the corner of your eye near the nose.
• Repeat for another eye (if needed). Follow the same steps for your other eye if instructed by your healthcare provider.
• Don't rinse the dropper. Leave the dropper unrinsed.
• Replace the cap securely after each use.
• Wait at least 5 minutes before using other eye drops or ointments. Apply eye drops before ointments.
• Allow a few minutes for your vision to clear before driving or operating machinery.
• Maintain a regular schedule for optimal benefit.
• Don't use Bepreve if the solution becomes discolored. Contact your healthcare provider for guidance.
• Inform your healthcare provider if your condition doesn't improve within a few days or worsens.

Don'ts

• Don't touch the dropper tip: Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any other surface to prevent contamination.
• Don't skip or alter doses: Don't skip doses or alter the prescribed dosage without consulting your healthcare provider.

Common side effects of Bepreve may include:

• Dry eye
• Eye irritation
• Eye redness
• Blurred vision
• Unpleasant taste in the mouth

Serious side effects of Bepreve are rare but may include:

• Allergic reactions: Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms such as rash, itching, swelling (especially of the face, tongue, or throat), dizziness, or trouble breathing.
