Do’s

• Take exactly as prescribed: Follow your healthcare provider's instructions regarding dosage and duration of treatment.
• Take with food: This helps minimize stomach upset.
• Swallow the tablet whole: Do not crush, chew, or break it, as this might affect how the medication is released in your body.
• Take it at the same time each day: Maintaining a consistent schedule helps ensure a steady level of medication in your bloodstream.
• Inform your healthcare provider about all medications you take: This includes prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Trivastal can interact with some medications.
• Tell your healthcare provider about any medical conditions you have: This is especially important if you have liver or kidney problems.

Don'ts

• Don't take more than prescribed: Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
• Don't miss doses: Try to take all your doses as scheduled. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but don't take double doses.
• Don't stop taking it abruptly: Consult your healthcare provider before stopping Trivastal, as abruptly stopping it can cause side effects.
• Don't take it if allergic to any ingredients: Check the medication label for ingredients you may be allergic to.

Common side effects may include:

• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Stomach upset, or other digestive issues.
• Mood changes
• Confusion
• Hallucinations.

Serious side effects may include:

• Excessive sleepiness or sudden sleeping fits
• Serious heart problems
• Interactions with other medications

Trivastal may cause sudden onset of drowsiness without any warning signs, although this is rarely seen in patients taking the medicine. It may also cause orthostatic hypotension, which is a sudden fall in blood pressure when rising from a sitting or lying position

In some cases, Trivastal has been associated with impulse control disorders such as gambling addiction, increased libido (sexual desire), sexual addiction, compulsive spending or buying, and binge eating. If you experience any of these symptoms, inform your healthcare provider immediately

Trivastal may cause marked irregularities in the sleep pattern, including sleeplessness and sudden onset of sleep. If you experience excessive sleepiness or sudden sleeping fits, avoid driving or using heavy machinery

Trivastal may interact with many other medicines, potentially causing severe adverse effects. Inform your healthcare provider about all your current medicines, including any herbs and supplements, before starting treatment with Trivastal

If you have any heart trouble or blood pressure problems, consult your healthcare provider before taking Trivastal.
