Beconase Aq Nasal (Beclomethasone Dipropionate)

Do’s

• Follow the instructions provided with the medication.
• Use the prescribed dosage and frequency.
• Gently blow your nose and shake the container before each use.
• Follow specific instructions for priming the spray pump if necessary.
• Administer the spray correctly. Close one nostril, tilt head forward, insert applicator upright, spray, breathe gently through nose, repeat in other nostril. Avoid spraying the middle wall of your nose.
• Clean and store properly. Wipe the applicator tip and replace the cap after each use. Avoid blowing your nose for 15 minutes.
• Stick to your healthcare provider's prescribed schedule.
• Be patient: It may take up to 2 weeks for the full benefit.
• Combine therapies (if advised). Use other medications alongside Beconase AQ as directed by your healthcare provider.
• Keep track of the number of sprays used and discard the bottle when empty.
• Follow instructions for cleaning and unblocking the spray tip if needed.

Don'ts

• Don't skip reading instructions: Ensure you understand how to use the medication properly.
• Don't use more than prescribed: Don't increase the dose or use it more often than directed.
• Don't spray your eyes: Avoid contact with your eyes.
• Don't use a broken bottle: Discard the bottle after the specified number of sprays are used. Don't transfer leftover medication.
• Don't stop using abruptly: Consult your healthcare provider before stopping treatment.
• Don't hesitate to seek help: Tell your healthcare provider if your condition doesn't improve after 3 weeks or worsens.

Serious Side Effects:

• Loss of taste or smell
• Pain/sores in the nose
• Unusual or extreme tiredness
• Weight loss
• Headache
• Swelling ankles or feet
• Increased thirst
• Increased urination
• Vision problems

Prolonged use of Beclomethasone can weaken your body's response to stress. Inform your healthcare provider about this medication if you have upcoming surgery, emergency treatment, or a serious illness/injury.

Tell your healthcare provider about all medications you take (including Beclomethasone) before any surgery or dental procedure.

Long-term use of Beclomethasone may slow down a child's growth. Consult your healthcare provider for details and monitor your child's growth regularly.

Beclomethasone should only be used during pregnancy if clearly necessary. Discuss risks and benefits with your healthcare provider.

It is unknown if Beclomethasone passes into breast milk. Consult your healthcare provider before breastfeeding.
