Oesclim Patch (Estradiol 17b)

Do’s

• Oesclim Patch should be applied to a hairless area of the skin, preferably on the abdomen or buttocks.
• Before applying the patch, thoroughly clean and dry the area of the skin where the patch will be placed.
• To apply the patch, peel off both parts of the protective liner from the back of the patch. Then, press the adhesive side of the patch firmly onto the clean and dry area of the skin. Hold or press the patch down for at least 30 seconds to ensure it sticks well to the skin, especially at the edges.
• When changing patches, apply the new patch at a different location on the skin. It is also advised to wait for a week before applying a patch at the same location again.
• Oesclim Patch is waterproof, so you can swim or take a shower while wearing it.
• If the patch comes off during the day, you can reapply it or replace it with a new one.
• Oesclim Patch is typically used twice a week. However, follow the specific instructions provided by your healthcare provider, as they may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. 
• Apply the patch regularly and continuously to maintain its beneficial effect.

Don’ts

• When handling the patch, avoid touching the sticky side. This helps to prevent any contamination or loss of adhesive properties.

• Breast pain or tenderness

• Nausea
• Abdominal pain
• Skin reactions at the application site, such as redness, itching, or rash

Less Common Side Effects:

• Vaginal bleeding or spotting
• Fluid retention

Rare Side Effects:

• Gallbladder disease
• Skin discoloration
• Allergic reactions
