Bevespi Aerosphere (Glycopyrrolate/Formoterol Fumarate)

Do’s

• Shake the inhaler well before each use.
• Follow priming instructions if it's your first time using it or if it hasn't been used in over a week (spray away from your face).
• Inhale the medication by mouth as prescribed by your healthcare provider, usually twice daily (morning and evening) with at least 1 minute between inhalations.
• Use Bevespi Aerosphere consistently at the same times each day.
• Consult your healthcare provider before stopping Bevespi Aerosphere, increasing your dose, or using it more often than prescribed.
• Wait at least 1 minute between using Bevespi Aerosphere and other inhalers.

Don'ts

• Don't increase your dose or use Bevespi Aerosphere more often than prescribed.
• Don't stop using Bevespi Aerosphere abruptly. Talk to your healthcare provider first.
• Don't use Bevespi Aerosphere to treat sudden breathing problems. It's a long-term maintenance medication.
• Don't use Bevespi Aerosphere with your quick-relief inhaler (like albuterol) on a regular daily schedule. Use the quick-relief inhaler only as needed for sudden shortness of breath.
• Don't be confused about your inhalers. Know which ones are for daily use (like Bevespi) and which are for sudden breathing problems (quick-relief inhalers).

Common side effects:

• Dry mouth
• Cough
• Sinusitis
• Urinary tract infection
• Back pain
• Headache
• Nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the nasal passages and throat)
• Bronchitis
• Upper respiratory tract infection
• Inflammation of the nose and throat
• Diarrhea
• Pain in extremities
• Muscle spasms
• Nausea
• Dizziness

Serious side effects (seek medical attention if experienced):

• Worsening of COPD symptoms
• Allergic reactions, such as rash, itching, swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing
• Increased heart rate
• High blood pressure
• Chest pain
• Tremors
• Difficulty urinating
• Changes in blood sugar levels
• Eye problems, such as blurred vision or increased pressure in the eyes

This is not an exhaustive list, and other side effects may occur. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects while taking Bevespi aerosphere,  contact your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Tell your healthcare provider if you have allergies to glycopyrrolate, formoterol, or any other ingredients in Bevespi Aerosphere.

Inform your healthcare provider about your medical history, especially heart problems, high blood pressure, seizures, thyroid issues, diabetes, glaucoma, or difficulty urinating.

Bevespi Aerosphere may cause irregular heartbeat. This risk increases with certain health conditions or medications.

Tell your healthcare provider about any heart problems, medications you take, and if you have a family history of heart rhythm problems.

Low potassium or magnesium levels can also increase this risk. Discuss this with your healthcare provider.

Inform your healthcare provider about all medications you take before any surgery.

Older adults may be more susceptible to side effects, especially irregular heartbeat.

Bevespi Aerosphere should only be used during pregnancy if clearly necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare provider.

It is unknown if the Bevespi Aerosphere passes into breast milk. Consult your healthcare provider before breastfeeding.
