Mycolog II Cream (Nystatin/Triamcinolone)

Do’s

• Before applying the cream, make sure your hands are clean and dry.
• Gently clean the affected skin area and pat it dry before applying the cream.
• Take a small amount of Mycolog II Cream and apply it in a thin layer on the affected skin. Rub it in gently as directed by your healthcare provider. The cream is typically applied twice a day, in the morning and evening.
• After applying the cream, wash your hands thoroughly, unless you are using the product to treat your hands.
• If directed to use the cream in the groin area, apply it sparingly and wear loose-fitting clothes to allow proper ventilation.
• Be careful not to get the cream in your eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental contact occurs, wipe off the medication and rinse thoroughly with water.
• Use Mycolog II Cream only for the condition it was prescribed for. 
• To get the most benefit from the cream, use it at the same times each day. This will help you remember to apply it regularly.
• Even if your symptoms improve after a few days, continue using the cream for the full duration prescribed by your healthcare provider. Stopping the medication too early may result in a return of the infection.
• If your condition does not improve after one week of treatment or if it worsens, consult your healthcare provider for further guidance.

Don’ts

• Unless specifically instructed by your healthcare provider, do not bandage, cover, or wrap the area where the cream has been applied. This allows for proper air circulation.
• If using the cream on a child's diaper area, avoid using tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants.
• Do not use larger amounts or apply this cream more frequently or for a longer duration than directed.

• Skin irritation, redness, or itching at the application site
• Burning or stinging sensation
• Dryness or peeling of the skin
• Acne or worsening of existing acne
• Skin discoloration or changes in pigmentation
• Thinning of the skin
• Stretch marks
• Allergic reactions, such as rash, hives, or swelling
